Computer rendered book cover design named Colorless. Students were tasked to make up their own book plot, then book name, before they began designing for the assignment. The author’s name is the student’s name. This cover design is vertically oriented and features photographs of the side view of 2 heads screaming. Half of the design is in black and white, the other half in color. The book name “Colorless” is on a diagonal slant across the cover.

In this class project, students were tasked to be experimental with typography. Choosing a quote or lyric they liked, and using very limited imagery (2 images maximum), students focused on moving letters and words around to create expressive compositions keeping the typography the main focus. Alexa chose a lyric from the group Weezerfor this design. The type weaves in and out of the composition which has an image ofthe 4 band members inthe lower right corner.
